Here is just a quick note this week to mention that it was “food for my soul” to see you all on Thursday evening, and to launch this 5th iteration of the collaboratory that has come to be known as #netnarr. You had a brief chance to catch up, and we made some new introductions as well. Prof. Levine & I welcome you to put on your creative thinking caps, and walk through the door of our “always open” lab. If you want to recall our first gathering, here are the slides which offer a loose agenda about what we covered.
For our next meeting…
…just remember to fill out this form which will get you set up with your own writing space in this course website. You can also do a quick “intro blog” in which you are invited to share a bit of information about who you are (whatever you are comfortable with, of course). Think of this quick first blog as a bit of a “warm up” as you say hi and introduce yourself as a way to get settled into the site.
For our next class…
…we will be spending a bit of time looking at our Course Calendar and Reading Roster together, and planning the journey forward. During this part of class, we will chat, inquire, plan, negotitate, and co-design as we consider the ground we choose to cover together.
In the second part of class, we have the wonderful Laura Gibbs (http://mythfolklore.net; @OnlineCrsLady) to inaugurate our first of many “Studio Visits”. Be prepared to be great hosts, as we pratice intentionally equitable hospitality as a learning community. Together we will seek collective wisdom and explore new collaboration with artists and scholars from across the globe.
I look forward to seeign you all soon, and getting our conversation going!
